Automations
Create an automation
Pick the trigger, add the steps and turn it on: messages, tags and alerts that happen on their own.
An automation does something on its own when an event happens. For example: when a new contact comes in, send a WhatsApp welcome and add the "lead" tag.
Build it
- Open Automations and select Create automation. It starts as a draft and doesn't run until you turn it on.
- Pick the trigger, the event that starts it:
- a contact is created;
- a conversation is closed;
- a sale happens;
- the contact's birthday (checked daily);
- every set interval.
- Add the steps, in order: send a WhatsApp, Email or SMS, add a Tag, send a Team alert, or a Condition that splits the path (for example, only people tagged "vip").
- Select Save and turn on.
Follow along
Each automation keeps a run history: when it ran, for whom and whether any step failed. If something fails, the notification bell tells you.
Use Pause to stop it for a while and Resume to restart. Automation messages follow the same messaging consent as broadcasts.
